Desert Landscaping & Xeriscaping in Las Vegas

Beautiful, Water-Smart Desert Yards

Desert landscaping — also called xeriscaping — replaces thirsty grass with drought-tolerant plants, decorative rock, boulders, and efficient drip irrigation. The result is a striking, low-maintenance yard that thrives in Southern Nevada, slashes your water bill, and can earn you thousands of dollars in SNWA rebates. Las Vegas Landscaping Co. designs and installs desert landscapes that look lush and intentional — never barren — using the right mix of color, texture, and structure for your home and HOA.

The SNWA Grass-Removal Rebate Can Pay for a Lot of It

Through the SNWA Water Smart Landscapes program, replacing live grass with qualifying desert landscaping earns a rebate that, as of 2026, is about $5 per square foot for the first 10,000 square feet — and up to roughly $7 per square foot for eligible Las Vegas Valley Water District customers, with a $100-per-tree bonus and an extra $575 bonus in the City of Henderson. One important rule: you must get SNWA pre-approval before removing any grass, or the project is disqualified. Converted areas also need drip irrigation and enough living plants to cover about half the area at maturity. We handle the design to meet these rules and help you through the rebate process.

Will a Desert Yard Still Look Green and Inviting?

Absolutely. Good xeriscaping is not a bare gravel lot — it layers colorful drought-tolerant plants like red yucca, lantana, Texas ranger, and desert spoon with varied rock, shade trees, and thoughtful lighting so your yard looks designed and alive all year. Done right, desert landscaping has more year-round visual interest than a lawn that goes brown every winter.
